Pasta and Snow

Can you believe the snow we had in Christchurch last week! I hope all of you that were in Christchurch enjoyed themselves. I know we did, we had heaps of snowball fights and went to Halswell Quarry to do some tobogganing .

My little Pixie having fun in the snow, she loved to eat it.

I have wanted to make pasta for such a long time, I finally attempted it the other day and I have to say it is so easy to make and it didn't take long at all.
I don't have a pasta machine so I made the dough out of Semolina Flour and Water then flattened it using a rolling pin and just simply used a knife to cut it into Fettuccini sized strips. I made Carbonara with the Fettuccini it was delish. I will definitely be making pasta again.

Biscuits and tea cups

I wanted to do another shoot with the fur coat before I unwilling handed it back to Jenny(thanks Jenny), it is so cosy and would get you through the winter nice and snug.

I am surprised that I bought this yellow skirt which you have also seen here, I don't usually gravitate towards clothes that are colourful.
I wear black most of the time and when I try to buy clothes that aren't black I come home with something that is grey. If this skirt didn't have the high waist I wouldn't have taken a second look at it.

The background image is actually from a set of sheets which I found here

Mmmm Oreos and a sunny day

It was such a beautiful Sunday today, I hung out with Pixie for most of the day.
We went for two walks and went to the dairy to get a chocolate milkshake.

Which we shared, I don't think Pixie is quite as much of a fan as I am, she was very skeptical.

Sorry for the crappy photos they're from my phone.

I have been doing a lot of baking lately so I have decided to start including some of the things I bake on here. Those of you that know me know that I LOVE food, so I thought it would be fun to start taking some photos and posting them.
Today I made Homemade Oreos, the blogger I have been slightly obsessed with the last few days also made these here and she got the recipe from here. I do suggest you make a batch yourself they are delish.

Mine don't look as good as theirs haha, they're a bit thicker oh well they still taste good.

Vintage Fur!

Hi all,
Sorry it has been so long since I last posted, I don't really have an excuse as to why.

I have wanted to do a shoot here for ages, this is where my bf and I often walk the dog and I always have the vision of what the photos will look like every time I walk there. They didn't turn out exactly how I envisioned but they never do.

I borrowed this fur coat off my friend Jenny, it was her mums who used to wear it in the late 60's.
It is in perfect condition and definitely kept me warm while shooting these photos.
I wish it was mine.

I tried to do a bit of research on where it was purchased but that failed miserably, I couldn't find anything online about the furriers.
